[02] First holding facility for illegal immigrants opens in CyprusThe first immigration detention centre where illegal immigrants will be detained until they are deported to their countries, opened Friday in Menogia, in the Larnaka district."By building immigration detention facilities Cyprus fully complies with its obligations deriving from international conventions and EU Directives", Minister of Justice and Public Order Loucas Louca has said. [03] Cyprus trade deficit down, Eurostat saysCyprus' trade deficit decreased by €500 million on an annual basis during the first 11 months of 2012, reaching a total of €4 billion, Eurostat data released on Friday show.Total exports reached €1.3 billion, marking an increase of 5% in relation to the same period of the previous year. Total imports on the other hand were reduced by 8% reaching a total of €5.3 billion. The head of the Church of Cyprus in a written statement assures the Financial Times columnist that "there is no chance for a Greek hand to sign a two-state solution as Erdogan and Davutoglu dream of".
