[01] Cyprus rapidly becoming an investment of funds hub, says CIPA
Cyprus is rapidly becoming an investment of private and public funds
hub, head of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) Christodoulos
Angastiniotis has said.
Angastiniotis was speaking during a press conference of "Banc de Binary",
a company of binary options, which is starting its operations in Limassol.
`Your company has decided to have Cyprus as its main base of operations in
both Europe and the Middle East, using our island as a bridge of economic
cooperation, something which confirms its appeal to foreign investors`,
he said.
[02] Cyprus and Palestine to enhance cooperation on energy matters
Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Neoclis Sylikiotis and the
Palestinian Energy Minister Omar Kittaneh sought Thursday ways to enhance
bilateral cooperation on energy issues.
At a meeting they had in Nicosia, Sylikiotis briefed his Palestinian
counterpart on Cyprus' efforts to explore and exploit its natural gas
resources, as well as on the efforts made by the Cyprus Presidency of the
Council of the EU to strengthen EU relations with countries of the region.
"Due to its close relations with the countries of the region, Cyprus can
be very important for wider cooperation on energy and contribute to peace,
progress and prosperity of the peoples' of the region," he stressed.
