Tancho Sabanov in the field of health [01] Cyprus FM and Bulgarian Ambassador present book on revolutionary Tancho SabanovThe historic bonds between Cyprus and Bulgaria were highlighted during a book presentation with the memoirs of a 19th century Bulgarian revolutionary Atanas (Tancho) Sabanov.Cyprus Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou Marcoullis and Bulgarian Ambassador in Cyprus Veselin Velshev underlined the valuable historic insights Sabanov's memoirs are providing, both concerning life in late 19th century Nicosia, as well as regarding relations between the two countries. The event took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou and numerous members of foreign diplomatic missions in Cyprus. Speaking at a press conference held here today, he also said that in the framework of tomorrow's events information leaflets will be distributed to the passengers while a relevant resolution signed on-line by almost 100,000 Europeans will be handed over to the Chairperson of the European Parliament`s Transport Committee Brian Simpson in Brussels. [03] Health Minister satisfied with the results of EU Cyprus Presidency in the field of healthMinister of Health Androulla Agrotou has said that the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU constituted a great challenge for both Cyprus and the Ministry of Health, adding that the results of the work that has been done show that the aim of working collectively with a view to protect and improve health standards of European citizens has been achieved.Speaking during a press conference for the presentation of the results of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU in the field of health, Agrotou said that during the Cyprus Presidency 43 meetings were held in Brussels to discuss issues in Working Groups as well as six trilogues. As regards the Working Group for Public Health, Agrotou said that they discussed two legislative proposals.
