[01] Kasoulides to participate in FAC and GAC
Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides will participate in
the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) and the General Affairs Council (GAC)
of the European Union, to be held on 16 and 17 December respectively
in Brussels.
According to an official press release, during the FAC, the Ministers
will discuss, inter alia, the developments in the Southern Neighborhood,
focusing on Syria and Lebanon, the recent agreement on Iran's nuclear
program, the Eastern Partnership, the situation in the Central African
Republic, issues related to the Western Balkans, and the developments
in Myanmar / Burma.
The EU Foreign Ministers will also attend a working lunch, hosted by
EU High Representative, Baroness Ashton, in the presence of Russia's
Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov.
