[01] BoC Chairman gives three positive developments for a speedier
recovery of the economy
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Cyprus Christis Hassapis
has stressed three positive developments that give hope for a speedier
recovery of the Cyprus economy.
In his speech to the ninth Cyprus Summit of the Economist, titled "Cyprus
on the Mend?", Hassapis also referred to the trends and changes that will
be redefining the new financial services landscape in the coming years.
These changes include the downsizing of the banking sector, its
changing structure and ownership, changes on culture and governance,
on the international business prospects, on trends in the Euro area
and on the strategic repositioning of the banks itself.
