[01] Indian FM hopes for solution of the Cyprus problem
Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid has reiterated his country`s
support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity
of Cyprus, expressing hope for the success of the efforts to solve the
Cyprus problem.
According to an official announcement issued here on Monday, Khurshid
met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Ioannis Kasoulides,
in the context of his participation in the Asia - Europe Meeting (ASEM)
which takes place in New Delhi between 11 - 12 November.
The meeting was held in a very positive atmosphere, where the two
Ministers reaffirmed the close and historic ties of friendship between
Cyprus and India.
[02] Cyprus imports increase in September
Total imports increased by 16,5% in September, reaching €428.8 million
compared with 368.2 in August, according to preliminary data released
on Monday by Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat).
Of the €428.8 million, €313.5 million were arrivals from other Member
States of E.U. and €115.3 million imports from Third Countries.
Based on the preliminary data, total exports accelerated by 45.7% in
September reaching €145.9 million compared with 100.5 million in August.
