[01] Energy Minister promotes Cyprus' business potential in China
Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkortypis had a series of high level contacts
in Beijing last week, during a working visit at the Chinese capital,
heading a business delegation.
According to an official announcement, Lakkortypis presented the business
potential of various sectors of the Cypriot economy, at a business forum
organized by Cyprus' Energy Ministry, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and
Industry and the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
During his meeting with his Chinese counterpart Yu Jianhua, Lakkotrypis
discussed bilateral trade and ways to decrease Cyprus' trade deficit. The
promotion of Cyprus as a tourist destination was also discussed.
