[01] Cypriot MPs attend COSAC 50th plenary meeting
The state of play of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU
and the European elections 2014, were among the issues discussed during
Monday's session of the 5Oth EU Conference of Parliamentary Committees
for Union Affairs of Parliaments (COSAC), held on 27-29 October in the
Seimas of Lithuania in Vilnius.
Chairman of the Cyprus House Committee on European Affairs Averof Neofytou
and members of the Committee, MPs Athina Kyriakidou, Christos Mesis and
Fedias Sarikas, are attending the conference.
According to an official press release, Kyriakidou welcomed the
decision of the Lithuanian Presidency to set as its basic priority the
strengthening of the economic credibility of the EU and stressed that
the bank resolution procedures must be based on transparency.
