[01] Cyprus Institute and US institutes` cooperation discussed during
US Ambassador`s visit
Prospects to further enhance the cooperation between the Cyprus Institute
and American institutes were discussed at a meeting held Wednesday between
the President of the Institute Costas Papanicolas and US Ambassador in
Nicosia, John Koenig.
According to a press release by the Cyprus Institute, during the meeting
the two parties placed emphasis on the existing cooperation between the
Institute and US universities and research centers in the technology
and science sectors. They discussed prospects to further enhance and
promote more collaboration.
The Cyprus Institute is being developed by establishing research centers
which address challenging problems that are important at both the
regional and international levels. Its research centers are developed
in partnership with leading institutions in the respective thematic areas.
