[01] Greek PM: Our common pursuit is peace and unity in Cyprus
Greece will always stand by the people of Cyprus and their leadership
in our common pursuit for peace and unity on the island, Greek Prime
Minister has stressed in a congratulatory message to President Nicos
Anastasiades on the occasion of Cyprus' Independence Day.
In his message, the Greek Prime Minister points out that the solution
of the Cyprus problem and the end of the Turkish military occupation of
Cyprus constitute high national priority for Greece.
"We fully support the Republic of Cyprus and your efforts for a solution,
based on the UN Security Council decisions and in line with the EU acquis
communautaire", the Greek Prime Minister notes.
