to UN [01] President Anastasiades honours Panama's Permanent Representative to UNPresident of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades honoured in New York, Panama's Permanent Representative, Ambassador Pablo Antonio Thalassinos, for his contribution in strengthening relations between Cyprus and Panama.During a special gathering at the residence of Cyprus' Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Nicos Emiliou, President Anastasiades praised Thalassinos for his efforts and stressed that both Cyprus and Panama share the same principles and values and respect international law, human rights and the principles of the UN Charter. He also thanked Panama for its consistent support on Cyprus that is based on international law and the UN resolutions. [02] Cyprus FM holds meetings in the framework of UN General AssemblyCyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides continued his bilateral contacts with his counterparts from Iran, Morocco and Argentina, in the framework of the UN General Assembly.In his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Kasoulides conveyed the EU position on Iran's nuclear programme. During his meeting with Morocco's FM Dr. Saad Eddin El Othmani, he discussed bilateral issues, the EU-Morocco relations and issues concerning the Organisation of the Islamic Conference. Kasoulides thanked his counterpart for the longstanding support of Morocco to Cyprus especially now that Morocco participates in the UN Security Council as a non - permanent member. The two Ministers also exchanged views on the revival of the Union for the Mediterranean. [03] Realtors stress need to promote measures in real estate sectorThe imperative need to promote measures that will boost the real estate sector was stressed during the Annual General Meeting of the Cyprus Real Estate Agents Association (CREAA) held Saturday in Nicosia.Addressing the Meeting, House President Yiannakis Omirou said that there is an overwhelming need to promote measures that will facilitate growth, particularly in the real estate sector. He also pointed out that incentives must be found to strengthen the sector since many small and medium sized businesses and several other sectors of the economy depend on the fields, upon which the Cyprus Real Estate Agents Association operates.
