[01] Customs and Excise Department's revenue shows increase
Revenue of the Customs and Excise Department increased by 8 million in
August 2013.
According to an announcement by the Customs and Excise Department, total
revenue excluding VAT (import duties plus excise duties) increased by
7.3 million and import VAT increased by 0.7 million.
Specifically, increases were observed in excise duties from petroleum
products (2.8 million), tobacco (4.9 million), alcoholic products (0.4
million) and beer (0.5 million).
