[01] FinMin issues tenth decree on foreign banks exempted from capital
controls
Cyprus` Finance Ministry issued Friday the tenth decree on the
international banks exempted from capital controls imposed in Cyprus
following an agreement during the Euro Area Finance Ministers meeting
on March 25 that has agreed on a €10 billion bailout for Cyprus,
featuring an unprecedented haircut on uninsured deposits.
The decree includes no changes in foreign banks exempted from the
controls.
The decree, which will remain in force for a thirty-day period, includes
a list of 16 foreign credit institutions operating in Cyprus, that have
already been exempted from capital controls.
