[01] Commission Vice President: Cyprus Presidency ran the EU in an
exemplary manner
The Cyprus EU Presidency has run the EU over the last six months in
an exemplary fashion, Vice President of the Commission Antonio Tajani
stressed.
The Vice-President responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship was
speaking at a press conference in Brussels with Cypriot Minister of
Commerce, Industry and Tourism Neoclis Sylikiotis, who chaired the EU
Competitiveness Council. "I would like to thank the Cyprus EU Presidency
and the Minister for steering the Council over the last few months",
Tajani said.
He added that "this is a clear evidence of the fact that the importance
of a country does not depend on its geographical size but rather on
the skills of its representatives and their abilities to stand up to
the challenge".
