[01] Last ECOFIN Council under Cyprus EU Presidency on Tuesday
The last EU Economy and Finance Ministers Council under the Cyprus EU
Presidency takes place on Tuesday.
Among the issues to be discussed are the Revised Capital Requirements
Directive, the Banking Union and the Annual Growth Survey for 2013.
The Commission's proposal for the establishment of a single supervisory
mechanism for banks led by the European Central Bank, was thoroughly
discussed at COREPER II level.
[02] Busy agenda for last month of the Cyprus EU Presidency
The Cyprus EU Presidency has entered the last month of its six monthly
rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU.
December is expected to be a busy month with many important Councils of
Ministers, two Eurogroup meetings, and a European Council Summit.
In December, additional ten Councils will take place in Brussels (Energy,
Finance (ECOFIN), Justice, Employment, Foreign Affairs, Competition,
General Affairs, Agriculture and Fisheries, Environment and Transport).
