[01] Government briefs trade unions on bailout agreement with Troika
The Government has briefed trade unions on an initial agreement with
the Troika. Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou has said that the
government continues to work towards the implementation of measures with
a view to overcome financial difficulties.
He also noted that the EU will decide whether the memorandum for Cyprus
will be discussed by Eurogroup on December 3rd.
There are unpleasant and painful measures "something that we as a
government had warned about and stated right from the beginning," he
said. He noted that during the meeting trade unions were informed about
issues regarding labour relations and employees, adding that they will
also be updated once procedures in Brussels are fulfilled.
He also said that party leaderships will also be briefed.
