    Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Titus Corlăţean, will pay one-day official visit to Cyprus on October 30, at the invitation of his Cypriot counterpart, Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis.

    According to an official press release, Corlăţean's visit takes place in the context of the deepening of bilateral relations between Cyprus and Romania, through which cooperation between the two counties as strategic partners is expected to be further enhanced.

    In the framework of his visit, the Romanian Foreign Minister will hold extensive talks with his Cypriot counterpart, covering bilateral relations, developments in the Cyprus problem and Turkey's threats against the sovereign rights of the Republic of Cyprus to explore and exploit its natural resources within its Exclusive Economic Zone.

    [02] Swedish MPs congratulate the Cyprus EU Presidency

    Swedish parliamentarians extended their congratulations to Nicosia for the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU, while also condemning Turkey's continued occupation of parts of the Republic of Cyprus.

    A delegation of the European Affairs Committee of the Swedish Parliament is paying a visit to Cyprus and met this morning with members of the Committees on Foreign Affairs and Finance of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus.

    Welcoming the Swedish parliamentarian delegation to Cyprus, President of the Committee on Finance and Budgetary Affairs Nikolas Papadopoulos noted that Nicosia assumed the Presidency of the Council of the EU amid difficult times, due to the economic crisis which has hit Europe.
