[01] Permanent Secretary of Agriculture Ministry in Seoul
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural
Resources and Environment, Egly Pantelakis departs Sunday for Seoul to
represent Minister Sophocles Aletraris and the Cyprus EU Presidency to the
Ministerial Preparatory Meeting that will take place 21-23 October. More
than 40 countries are going to attend the meeting.
According to an official announcement, the meeting will focus on
preparations for the upcoming Conference on Climate Change to be held
at Doha between November 26 and December 7. On the agenda of the Seoul
meeting will also be issues related to the Kyoto Protocol and the reduce
of emissions of greenhouse gases and the progress of the new agreement,
scheduled to be put in place by 2020.
[02] Annual Conference of Enterprise Europe Network begins Monday
in Paphos
The Enterprise Europe Network Annual Conference is organised on the 22-24
October in the coastal town of Paphos and is the major annual event of
the network bringing together more than 800 network participants.
The Conference is expected to provide a global forum for network partners,
EU Officials, SME managers and other stakeholders to exchange and share
knowledge about emerging policies, changing dynamics, new methods and
network activities.
The Enterprise Europe Network Annual Conference 2012 is organised by the
Research Promotion Foundation and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and is
set under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
