[01] Cyprus - Israel relations reaffirmed
The excellent relations between Cyprus and Israel were underlined during
a meeting of the Minister of Defence Demetris Eliades and Israel's
Ambassador to Cyprus, Michael Harari.
An official statement said that during the meeting, developments in
the Cyprus problem, the Cyprus - Israel relations with emphasis on the
issue of security and defence, developments in the Middle East and issues
concerning the Cyprus presidency of the European Council were among the
issues examined.
[02] Cyprus to host 2014 Annual General Meeting of WISTA International
The 2014 Annual General Meeting and Conference of WISTA International will
be held in the costal town of Limassol with the participation of 300 of
the most influential women in Shipping and Trading industry. The other
city contesting with Limassol to organize this prestigious conference
in 2014 was Shanghai, China.
The 2012 meeting took place in Paris and according to a press release
by WISTA Cyprus, 285 members from 35 countries came together to discuss
the issue "The new challenges for the Shipping Industry: the era of
innovations and modernity". Next year the event will take place in
Montreal, Canada.
According to a press release, WISTA Cyprus was chosen because it is one
of the fastest growing National WISTA Associations with 57 members of
19 different nationalities.
