President of the Republic Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot
leader Dervis Eroglu met on Monday in a two ours meeting and continue
the discussion on external relations and property, as Special
Representative of UNSG in Cyprus, Lisa Buttenheim has stressed
afterwards .
UN will have bilateral meeting with both sides to continue working on
these issues, she added.
The representatives of the two leaders, George Iacovou and Kudret
Ozersay will meet next Thursday at 3 pm to continue the discussion and
the two leaders will hold a new meeting on Monday, December 12, at 10
am, at the presence of UN Secretary General`s Special Adviser on Cyprus
Alexander Downer.
Asked if Downer is holding contacts abroad regarding the Cyprus issue,
Buttenheim said that when he is outside the island he is thinking
Cyprus a lot but I cant tell you where he is right now. She added that
Downer will be back to Cyprus this weekend.
