[01] CYPRUS TALKS - NEW MEETING
President of the Republic Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot
leader Dervis Eroglu will hold a new meeting on Tuesday, in the
framework of UN-led direct negotiations aiming to reach a solution to
the Cyprus problem.
The meeting is the third of a series of all-day meetings to take place
over the next several weeks until October, as agreed during a meeting
between the leaders of the two communities and the UN Secretary General
in Geneva on July 7th, 2011.
The leaders are expected to continue their discussion on the chapter on
governance and power-sharing.

President of the Republic Demetris Christofias on Sunday called for
unity in the political arena.
Speaking to the press after the memorial service held for the first
President of Cyprus, the late Archbishop Makarios III, President
Christofias reminded all of the advices and guidance of the late
Archbishop.
