Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcos Kyprianou, who is visiting
Spain, met on Friday with his Spanish counterpart Trinidad Jimenez.
According to an official press release issued here today, Kyprianou had
a private meeting with Jimenez, followed by talks in the presence of
delegations of the two countries.
``The Foreign Minister briefed Jimenez on the latest developments on
the Cyprus problem and particularly on the problems the settlement
process is facing, as well as the difficulties created by the Turkish
Cypriot side, rendering the achievement of progress difficult,`` the
release notes.
The talks covered the relations between the two countries, the
relations between the EU and Turkey as well as the EU-NATO relations.
