[01] CHRISTOFIAS - WISHES TO EROGLU - HEALTH
President of the Republic Demetris Christofias has sent good wishes for
speedy recovery to the Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu, following
an angiogram the latter has undergone in the northern Turkish occupied
areas of Cyprus.
According to an official statement, President Christofias contacted by
telephone the Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu who had some health
problems. During their brief conversation, President Christofias wished
Mr Eroglu speedy recovery, the statement added.
Eroglu told reporters as he was leaving for Ankara to undergo medical
tests that Tuesdays meeting in the framework of the UN-led direct
negotiation process to solve the Cyprus problem was postponed.
