[01] CoE COMMITEE OF MINISTERS - CYPRUS CASES - TURKEY
The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has forwarded three
Cypriot cases against Turkey, concerned with the issue of property in
the Turkish occupied areas, to upcoming meetings, noting that at its
meeting in December it will examine the case Varnavas and others
against Turkey.
During its two-day meeting on September 14 and 15, the Committee of
Ministers decided to reexamine the interstate case of Cyprus against
Turkey and the implementation of the European Court of Human Rights`
judgement in the Loizidou case.
Regarding the final judgment of the Court, with which Turkey was
condemned in the Xenides Arestis case, the Committee of Ministers notes
the interim resolution it issued against Turkey in March 2010 and
reiterates the decision it took in June 2010 by which Turkey is called
upon, without delay, to pay compensation.
