[01] FOREIGN TRADE STATISTICS 2009
Total imports and arrivals, (covering total imports from third
countries and arrivals from other member states) in January-December
2009 amounted to 5.654,4mn, marking a decrease, as compared to
7.366,7mn in January-December 2008, foreign trade statistics have
revealed.
According to the Statistical Service of the Republic, total
exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and
dispatches to other member states) in January-December 2009 were
963,2mn compared to 1.190,4mn in January-December 2008. The trade
deficit was 4.691,2mn in January-December 2009 compared to 6.176,3mn in
January-December 2008.
It also said that during December 2009, the total imports/arrivals
(covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other
member states) valued at 469,3mn.
The statement further said that total exports/dispatches (covering
total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member
states), including stores and provisions, in December 2009 amounted to
78,2mn.
