Presidents of Cyprus and Greece, Demetris Christofias and Karolos Papoulias, met in the Greek capital on Saturday night.

During the 45-minute meeting the two leaders discussed latest developments in the Cyprus problem, bilateral matters and other issues of mutual interest.

Christofias invited Papoulias to pay an official visit to Cyprus. The Greek President accepted the invitation. The visit will be arranged through diplomatic channels.

    [02] BAGHDATIS - ATP TOURNAMENT - VICTORY

Cypriot tennis champion Marcos Baghdatis won the ATP Tournament Medibank International in Sydney, after defeating Richard Gasquet of France with 2-0 6-4, 7-6(2).

The match, which was delayed by rain, lasted 1,44 hours. This is Baghdatis` fourth title in his professional tennis career. According to Baghdatis` official website, after the game ``it was announced that Marcos would donate 5.000 dollars of his 67.260-dollar winners cheque to the Haiti disaster appeal.``

This victory will give Baghdatis a boost in confidence ahead of the Australian Open, which begins in Melbourne on Monday, but will also further improve his position in the 2010 ATP Rankings as he received 250 points.
