[01] CYPRUS PRESIDENT - PACE - ADDRESS
Cyprus President Demetris Christofias will address here Tuesday the
Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE), which will discuss on
Wednesday a report on the situation on Cyprus by German MP Joachim
Horster and will vote on a resolution included in the report.
According to the programme of his contacts here, Christofias will have
separate meetings with the PACE President Lluis Maria de Puig, the
State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, representing the Chair
of the Committee of Minister Frank Belfrage, the European Court of
Human Rights President Jean Paul Costa, the Commissioner for Human
Rights Thomas Hammarberg and the Secretary General of the Council of
Europe Terry Davis.
He will also attend the inauguration of the exhibition of paintings by
Cypriot women, at the Palais de l Europe.
The President leaves Strasbourg this evening.
