[01] GREECE DELEGATION - EVENTSThe Greek government and parliament will be represented at memorials and other events to be held during the weekend in the government-controlled areas of the Republic of Cyprus, to pay tribute to those killed during the Turkish invasion of the island in 1974.A Greek inter-parliamentary delegation arrived to the island. In statements to the press Greek MPs denounced the illegal visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Cyprus occupied areas, to participate in the celebrations to be held there on the occasion of the anniversary of the Turkish invasion, and expressed hope that a new effort to reach a Cyprus settlement, on the basis of a bicommunal, bizonal federation, will bear fruit. [02] PSEKA CYPRUS PROBLEMWe have made promises to our children, our parents and grandparents to see a united, free Republic of Cyprus, Philip Christopher, President of the International Coordinating Committee Justice For Cyprus (PSEKA) has said and encouraged everyone to continue the fight for justice for the Cypriot people.On his massage at a Commemoration of the Cyprus Invasion and Occupation, organized by PSEKA under the auspices of the Cyprus Federation of America, Christopher called people to spend some time on Sunday to remember the tragic events of July 20, 1974, and to spend a few minutes in recognition of those who gave their lives, of the missing, of the refugees, and of the enclaved. Christopher pointed out that although Cyprus is now a member of the European Union due to the hard work of the Cyprus government and the support of Greeks all over the world, yet Turkish forces still occupy the small island Republic of Cyprus. [03] FM MALTA - SERBIACyprus Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou will fly Sunday to Malta where he will pay an official visit.An official press release issued here said that during his visit Kyprianou will have talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Malta Tonio Borg. The two ̀inisters will discuss the two countries` bilateral relations, the Cyprus question as well as the promotion of issues of mutual interest. The Foreign Minister will be received by the President of Malta Edward Fenech-Adami. Kyprianou will then travel to Brussels to participate in the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council to take place on Tuesday July 22.
