[01] AGRICULTURE MINISTER - WATER FROM GREECE - QUALITY
Cyprus Agriculture Minister Michalis Polinikis has said that the
quality of the water transported from Greece to Cyprus by a tanker is
very good according to the results of the tests on samples taken from
and conducted by the State General Laboratory of Cyprus.
Polynikis said the quality of the water complies with EU standards for
potable water, both chemically and microbiologically, and so the water
will be channeled into Limassol`s water supply system.
On his part, Ocean Tankers Chairman Michalis Ioannides said that
everything would be ready by Sunday to pipe the water into the system.
