[01] CHRISTOFIAS - ANKARAPresident of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias said on Tuesday that the Greek Cypriot side was being patient towards the dogmatic positions of Ankara, repeated by Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, on the Cyprus problem. He added that such remarks to not contribute towards creating the necessary atmosphere for the successful outcome of work undertaken by the working groups and technical committees, which have been set up to deal with various aspects of the Cyprus problem. In statements on the sidelines of the 4th International Congress of Cypriot Studies, President Christofias said his upcoming meeting with Talat was not formal but would take place in the context of a social event organised by the Embassy of Slovakia in Nicosia.
