[01] CYPRUS - MOLDOVA - AGREEMENT
Cypriot Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Antonis Michaelides
signed an agreement for the Mutual Promotion and Protection of
Investments and a Tourist Agreement between Cyprus and Moldova, during
an official visit he paid to the Republic of Moldova, from September 12
to 14, at the invitation of Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon.
An official press release issued here Tuesday said that Michaelides`
visit was very successful and is expected to contribute significantly
to the tightening of the political, economic and tourist relations
between Cyprus and Moldova.
Michaelides, who was accompanied by a multimember delegation of Cypriot
businessmen, held meetings with Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev, Minister
of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon, Minister of Culture and Tourism Artur
Cozma, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Vladimir Antosii, Deputy
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Valeriou Ostalep
and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova
Gheorghe Cucu.
