Minister of Foreign Affairs Erato Kozakou Markoulli has expressed
satisfaction regarding her first participation in the EU General
Affairs Council in Brussels, noting that the meeting ``went very
well.``
Speaking at Larnaca Airport on her return to Cyprus, Markoulli noted
that she had the opportunity to meet with all her EU counterparts and
made special reference to the separate meetings she had with the
Ministers of Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Portugal.
``I believe a very good start was made for a constructive and close
relationship,`` she said, adding that ``we discussed the Cyprus
problem, Greco-Turkish relations, the Middle East question and the
relations between Cyprus and these countries.``
