[01] CYPRIOT PRESIDENT - HOUSE RESOLUTION - BASESCyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos said that he considers a possible effort to claim by the British government the money it owes to Cyprus for the use of the Sovereign Bases Areas would be ``difficult and legally complex``.Invited to comment a resolution adopted unanimously by the House of Representatives on Thursday calling on the government to make all necessary representations towards Britain to pay its debts to the Republic of Cyprus, Papadopoulos said that the government will examine the House`s decision, as well as the speeches made during the plenary session. Replying to a question whether the arrest of Cypriot Member of the European Parliament (MEP), Marios Matsakis by the SBA Police was the reason for Cyprus claiming the money Britain owes to the Republic, Papadopoulos said that he was not sure that the two issues are linked. ``And I am not sure that everybody knows what this claim actually entails, which for many may seem simple but has very serious legal, practical and surely political complications,`` Papadopoulos concluded.
