[01] FINANCE MINISTER - ECOFIN
Cyprus Finance Minister Michalis Sarris left Monday for Brussels to
attend Tuesday`s meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council
(ECOFIN).
EU Finance Ministers will discuss the evaluation of the Revised
Stability Programmes of Belgium and Spain as well as the Convergence
Programmes of Bulgaria, Lithuania and Romania.
They are set to adopt conclusions regarding the directives forming the
framework in which public finance authorities will develop actions of
preparing the European Commission 2008 budget and will discuss the
progress report of the European Commission Action Plan towards an
Integrated Internal Control Framework.
[02] SUPREME COURT PRESIDENT - EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES COURT - EVENTS
President of the Cyprus Supreme Court Christos Artemides is in
Luxembourg to attend events organised by the Court of Justice of the
European Communities, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary since the
signing of the Treaty of Rome.
A press release issued by the Supreme Court said the Presidents of the
Courts of the EU 27 member states have been invited to attend the
events.
