[01] SPOKESMAN - 8 JULY AGREEMENT
The Cypriot government has expressed regret over the postponement
Thursday of a scheduled meeting of the representatives of the leaders
of the two communities, in the framework of the 8th July Agreement.
Commenting on the Turkish Cypriot decision to reassess the whole
process, as well as the postponement of the meeting, Government
Spokesman Christodoulos Pashiardes said it is a regretful development
and it will be even more regretful if this reassessment leads to a
unilateral termination of the process set out by the July 8 Agreement.
He expressed hope that this reassessment will eventually lead to a
positive approach as regards efforts for the implementation of the 8
July Agreement.
