  • [01] "HELIOS" - REPORT

Cyprus government spokesman Christodoulos Pashiardis said here today that the the one-member Commission of Inquiry into the causes of the 14 August 2005 Helios air crash, that killed all 121 people on board submitted yesterday its report to the Ministerial Cabinet`s Secretariat.

``The report will be examined in one of the coming meetings of the Ministerial Council,`` Pashiardis said after today`s Cabinet meeting, adding that the Council will decide whether it will give the report to the public.

In a question whether Judge Panayiotis Kallis, who leads the Commission, should hand the report personally, Pashiardis said that it was not necessary for Kallis to personally deliver the report.

``What`s important is that the report is ready, it has been conveyed to the Cabinet`s secretariat and will be brought before the Ministerial Council on a later stage``, the Spokesman added.
