Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos is expected to address the people
in a message on the occassion of the New Year.

Greece is working for a just and viable solution to the Cyprus problem,
Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis pledged.
In a message on the occasion of the New Year, Karamanlis stressed that
Greece will be actively present in the international developments and
for peace and security in the world.
