Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs George Lillikas departs tomorrow for Greece for the informal meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Mediterranean EU member states at Athens` coastal district of Lagonisi (October 12-13).

The meeting, a Greek government initiative, will also be attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Greece, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia and Malta.

The agenda includes issues regarding the future EU enlargement, the peace process in the Middle East, the Mediterranean dimension of the European Neighborhood Policy, illegal immigration and the creation of a crisis management mechanism.

On the sidelines of the informal meeting, bilateral meetings will be held between the ministers.

Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Dora Bakoyiannis and her Cypriot counterpart will meet Friday morning and exchange views on the latest developments in the Cyprus issue and Turkey`s EU course in view of the European Commission`s progress report, which will be issued in November.
