[01] PRESIDENT PAPADOPOULOS - MESSAGE - EGYPT
President of the Republic of Cyprus, Tassos Papadopoulos, sent a
written message to his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak condemning
the terrorist acts in the tourist resort of Dahab.
``On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Cyprus
I express our deepest sympathy and solidarity in view of the terrorist
acts in Dahab. We unreservedly condemn these heinous acts of violence
which are not only directed against Egypt, but against the whole of
humanity, the President stressed in his message.
He also conveyed to his Egyptian counterpart, to the government of
Egypt and the friendly people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Cyprus
sincere condolences for this tragic loss of human life.``
