Cyprus House rejects US State Department human rights report on Cyprus

Nicosia, Mar 3 (CNA) The Cyprus House of Representatives, in an extraordinary resolution, unanimously approved on Thursday night, rejected the US State Department Human Rights Report on Cyprus, describing it as false, prejudiced, lacking objectivity and completely unacceptable.

US State Department officials for talks at UN

United Nations, Mar 3 (CNA) A four-member US delegation chaired by Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Affairs Laura Kennedy, will visit the UN headquarters on Friday for investigative contacts on Cyprus.

The delegation, which also includes US Ambassador to Cyprus Michael Klosson, will meet officials of the UN political and peacekeeping operations department and will lunch with Greeces Permanent Representative at the UN Ambassador Adamantios Vasilakis.
