    Washington, Feb 24 (CNA) The Cyprus Republic will brief its European partners about the transfer of American-made weaponry from Turkey to the occupied areas of the island, over the past few days.

    Weather forecast for Cyprus Nicosia, Feb 24 (CNA) -- The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus: Friday and Saturday: 25/02/2005 to 26/02/2005 ------------------- On Friday the weather will be mainly fine with patchy cloud, but during noon and afternoon very local and light showers are expected. On Saturday the weather will be fair with a risk of isolated showers. The winds will be light northeast to southeast during daytime and northwest to northeast over night, 3 bf. The sea state will be smooth to slight. Temperature will range between 6C and 20C inland, between 7C and 21C over the coastal areas and between 3C and 11C over the mountains. Outlook for Sunday and Monday: 27/02/2005 to 28/02/2005 ------------------------------------------ The weather on Sunday and Monday will be generally fair, while there is a small risk of local isolated showers during the afternoon. Temperature is not expected to change significantly.

    Nicosia, Feb 24 (CNA) -- The Greek Cypriot side is ready to resume negotiations for a final settlement of the Cyprus problem, under UN auspices and the Secretary General's good offices, Cyprus Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides has said.
