Wilton Park: Community leaders to decide when to resume negotiations

Nicosia, Feb 10 (CNA) -- The leaders of both communities need to decide when the time is right to re-enter substantial negotiations, and it would be undesirable to embark on negotiations until both sides are ready to pursue them with full commitment, a press release issued by Wilton Park has said today.

Referring to the outcome of a Conference organised February 7-10, by Wilton Park, on behalf of the British Foreign Office, in Larnaca on ''Cyprus: The way forward'' the press release also said that ''the UNs detailed work over the years remains a good basis for future agreement, supported by the majority in both communities, on the constitutional and other arrangements needed for a successful united Cyprus.''
