Speaking on his return yesterday from Rome, where he signed the constitution, he said Turkey's European course is the main topic of discussion among EU leaders, to whom he outlined his positions with regard to the obligations Ankara has to fulfill to Brussels and to Nicosia. ''The European constitution is no reason or forum or excuse to review the entire proposal (a UN solution plan, the Annan plan) for a solution in Cyprus. The constitution does not change the situation in Cyprus but it is one more tool for the principles and the guidelines needed for a solution,'' he said. He is also scheduled to visit Italy later this month. Announcing the President's trips, Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides said the Brussels summit would furthermore deal with issues concerning the EU's communication with its citizens, and the situation in Iraq, the Middle East and Sudan. The summit will also discuss the composition of the European Commission, after the withdrawal of the Commissioner proposed by Italy from the list of persons drafted by new Commission President Josep Manuel Barrosso. [07] Weather forecast for Cyprus1640:CYPPRESS:07Weather forecast for Cyprus Nicosia, Nov 1 (CNA) -- The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus: On Tuesday (November 2) and Wednesday (November 3), the weather will be mainly fine. Winds will be northeasterly moderate, 3 to 4 beaufort, and locally during the day strong, 5 beaufort, over slight to moderate and locally rough seas. Temperatures will range between 17 and 29 degrees Centigrade inland, 19 to 29 degrees along the south coast, 19 to 27 along the west coast and 12 to 19 over Prodromos. On Thursday (November 4) and Friday (November 5), the weather will be mainly fine with local clouds. A small decrease in temperatures is expected on Friday. An official press release issued here today says that during his meeting with Kellenberger, Iacovou thanked him for the contribution of the Committee as regards the humanitarian aspects of the Cyprus problem, referred to the missing persons issue and briefed him on the work of the Committee of Missing Persons.
