The Greek Cypriot side has asked for changes on several provisions of the plan, relating to Turkish settlers, permanent derogations from the acquis communautaire and security matters. Dujarric said the UN was evaluating the reaction and noted that contact with the parties continued. He clarified that the reaction of the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot sides was handed over during separate meetings the heads of the delegations of the two sides had with Kofi Annan himself.
