[01] President Papadopoulos wraps up his contacts in New York1230:CYPRESS:01President Papadopoulos wraps up his contacts in New York by Apostolis Zoupaniotis United Nations, Sep 27 (CNA) -- Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos wrapped up yesterday his meetings here with a working lunch he had with the five permanent members of the Security Council and a meeting with Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou. Papadopoulos briefed UN Security Council five permanent members Permanent Representatives on the recent developments in the Cyprus question and thoroughly explained the Greek Cypriot side's positions. Papadopoulos and the five Permanent Representatives exchanged views on the prospects of the Cyprus question. In his remarks to the press after the lunch, Papadopoulos said ''nobody expects anything to be done before the 'elections' in Cyprus' occupied areas'' to take place in December. Asked whether the Security Council will have a role to play during this period as regards Cyprus Papadopoulos replied negatively.
