Three more members were elected Vice Presidents as well as the ten members of the partys Political Bureau. Anastasiades, who secured 9,928 or 55.05% of the votes, thanked the people of DISY who gave an example of democracy, and pledged to be worthy of the trust, which they have shown him. He also assured DISY will fight for a modern, dynamic opposition and with its political proposals would be an alternative proposal for power. Everyone united, we will fight for a strong, creative, positive DISY which will carry out a dynamic, modern opposition and at the same time be an alternative proposal of power with its political proposals, he said. His rival, former Foreign Minister, Ioannis Kasoulides, who garnered 8.108 votes or 44.95% speaking after his defeat, called on party members to unite around its democratically elected leadership in efforts to modernise and expand the party. He said he congratulated Anastasiades, noting that the members have decided and the decision is respected. Deputy Vice President, former Communications and Works Minister, Averof Neofytou, succeeded Panagiotis Demetriou who did not compete for re-election.
