    London, Aug 1 (CNA) -- British Minister for Europe Peter Hain has stressed that Britain's objective is a reunited Cyprus acceding to the EU, but he also reiterated the Helsinki European Council conclusions that a solution to the Cyprus issue is not a precondition for EU accession.
