    Weather forecast for Cyprus

    Nicosia, Jan 14 (CNA) - The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    Tuesday and Wednesday 15/01/2002 to 16/01/2002

    The weather will be fine with prolonged sunny periods and light breezes. Temperatures will range between 6 and 16 degrees C along the coast and between 4 and 14 degrees inland.

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday 17/01/2002 to 18/01/2002

    Continuing as above but with isolated showers on Friday.

    UN report - Alvaro de Soto's mission - Funding

    Nicosia, Jan 14 (CNA) - UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan envisages that there will be about ten rounds of negotiations on the Cyprus question, one in New York, one in Geneva and eight in Cyprus, and estimates that 1.413.400 dollars are required for the efforts of the UN chief's Special Adviser on Cyprus Alvaro de Soto for 2002.
