European Parliament satisfied with Clerides-Denktash talks

Laeken, Dec 14 (CNA) - President of the European Parliament Nicole
Fontaine has expressed here today satisfaction over the resumption of
UN-led talks on Cyprus, noting that the European Parliament is
following developments closely and that to begin negotiations with
Turkey on the economic criteria, political criteria will have to be
respected.
