[02] Cyprus - Greek FM - Arrival
Larnaca, Sep 4 (CNA) -- The solution to the Cyprus problem is a top
priority issue for Greece, which tries to contribute in the best possible
way towards that direction, Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou said
here today, adding that the Cyprus question has reached a very important
phase.
Speaking on his arrival for a two-day visit, Papandreou said Cyprus'
accession negotiations with the European Union were in a "positive course",
adding Cyprus' entry into the EU is an "historical opportunity" for both
communities, pointing out that "Cyprus will be part of the EU, with or
without the Turkish Cypriots."
